As the year comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared with all of you. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and love for French have made this year a resounding success.
Celebrating Our Community
At Live & Learn, we pride ourselves on offering more than just French lessons. Whether it’s through private one-on-one sessions tailored to your unique goals, the camaraderie of our French social club here in Boise, or the unforgettable experiences of our luxurious trips to France, we aim to create something truly special: a connection to the beauty of French language and culture—and each other.
But none of this would be possible without you—our clients, our friends, and the heart of our community. Your dedication to learning, passion for exploring new worlds, and trust in us have made this journey so meaningful. You’ve created a space where learning feels fun, friendship comes naturally, and growth happens every day.
We are thrilled to share that our Live and Learn community has grown beyond our wildest dreams. With over 30 students (and nearly at capacity!), your commitment has allowed us to continue doing what we love most—teaching French and fostering meaningful connections. To those who’ve taken their first French lesson with us, to those who’ve sipped wine and shared laughter at our social club, and to those who’ve joined us on authentic adventures in France: merci du fond du cœur. You’ve brought so much energy, enthusiasm, and joy to Live & Learn this year.
Exciting Plans for the New Year
Looking ahead, we’re excited to introduce some changes to better serve you and make our schedule a bit more manageable. To kick off the new year:
Intermediate Group Class: Marie-Anne will be launching an intermediate group class. This is a fantastic opportunity to hone your skills while enjoying the camaraderie of learning alongside others.
Children beginner class: Marie-Anne will be starting a children beginner class for 8 to 12 years olds to introduce them to the French language through fun activities, games, and stories. Children will learn basic vocabulary (like colors, numbers, clothes), simple greetings and phrases, French culture and traditions.
Advanced Conversation Group: Hortense will be leading a conversation group for our advanced students. This one-hour session will be semi-structured, with lively discussions guided by short articles or excerpts from literature. It’s the perfect chance to practice your French in a dynamic and engaging setting.
Highlights from Our Corsica Trip
As for our Corsica Trip scheduled for September, we’re delighted to share that it is already fully booked. This private, tailored experience is designed to immerse participants in the breathtaking beauty and culture of this Mediterranean gem. While this year’s trip is at capacity, we’re looking forward to offering more authentic adventures like this in the future—stay tuned!
A Toast to the Year Ahead
As we look ahead to a new year, we are excited about all that we’ll accomplish together. Whether it’s mastering new vocabulary, meeting new friends, or discovering hidden gems in France, we know the best is yet to come.
